Quality assurance during design stage
Specification description
Product specification that you prepare will be discussed with our electronics team. At this stage experience allows to chose proper solutions for your product, minimising the chance of mistakes influencing product functioning. Mistakes made during specification description might be dragged all the way to the tests stage. Thus, it is crucial to spend some time on the product design during specification description stage.
Schematics and PCB design
For the schematic and PCB design we use one of the best EDA software packages - Altium Designer 2009. At this stage of the design we introduce our web controlled development tracking system. Each project is controlled individually. For each project a team is assembled and project manager is selected. The most important part of the system is the Project Note interface (presented in Figure below), which allows to monitor such parts of the development as new features, bugs and observations.
All of the notes are given time tags and deadlines and appropriate notice is sent to a user responsible for specific problem solution.
When first version of the schematic is designed it is checked by a different project team member or by the project manager. Same rules apply to the PCB design. The files are given a version and stored with proper comments in our revision control system.
